When I was 19, my boyfriend and I went to a movie on Christmas Day. We left all our gifts in the back seat of his car. I told him I had a premonition of a man breaking the car window and taking all our gifts, and suggested we return and hide the gifts in the trunk. He laughed and said I was being silly, so I suppressed a nagging feeling throughout the movie. You can guess what we found when we returned to his car. I had been perfectly accurate in every detail, including which window was broken.

Although I’ve been intuitive all my life, for many years I chose to ignore most of the information I received. It wasn’t what I wanted to hear. After a number of life-changing events (also lovingly referred to as wake-up calls), it finally dawned on me that the exploration and development of my intuition was the key to my true happiness! The following is a short chronicle of the events that led me to my present vocation.

At 30, I realized I had some negative attitudes and habits that were adversely affecting my personal and business relationships. People often told me I was opinionated. I had recurring problems with boyfriends, family members and coworkers. Overnight, I consciously made the decision to react to people in a more positive way, even if I had to mask my true emotions. My life improved a little.

In my early 40's I was still unhappy, so I committed to bigger changes by seeing a therapist. I learned to take responsibility for my actions, as well as to think, act and communicate constructively. My therapist taught me how to recognize, accept, confront and conquer my fears and faults. As I became more powerful and confident, people started asking me for advice. All my relationships improved, and life was good.

Then, at 47, I was diagnosed with a progressive debilitating illness called Meniere's Disease for which there is no known cure in conventional medicine. It was progressing so quickly that a nursing home appeared to be in my immediate future. Finally, I gave in to my best friend's relentless pleas to see her doctor, who had developed a revolutionary new form of noninvasive therapy. As I recovered physically, my spirituality opened and blossomed!

At 48, I was truly grateful for all the incredibly wonderful changes in my life. I began to understand, appreciate and interact with others in a new way. Little did I know that I was in for some big surprises. I began receiving communications from angels about others. At first (ever the skeptic), I thought I was losing my mind. I would wake up at odd hours in the middle of the night and "hear" information. It occurred to me that maybe something spiritual was happening to me, so I began to study spiritual intuition and philosophy. Eventually, as my friends assured me that I truly had a "gift," I accepted it. When I shared my experiences with my older sister, she was not surprised. She told me I had inherited my intuition from my mother, maternal grandmother, and maternal great grandmother. She said people traveled long distances to get advice from my great grandmother in the early 1900’s.

A few years ago I was having lunch in a cafe with some new acquaintances when, suddenly, I "heard" a cat talking to me. I looked directly at a woman and described a toy she had bought and wrapped as a gift for her cat's upcoming birthday. It was purple with a feather, and the cat wanted it now! Although I had always had a special love for animals, this was my first communication with one.

People tell me how lucky I am to have this gift. The truth is that everyone has intuition. It's a matter of opening our minds and exploring the possibilities. I work very hard at developing my gift with exercise, yoga, meditation, and continued alternative therapy with my doctor.

For 35 years, I worked in the corporate world. My last corporate position was Assistant to the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of a major energy company. Eventually, I developed a full-time business as an Intuitive Consultant. This business encompasses animal communication, Feng Shui and personal intuitive consultations. My clients include businesses as well as individuals in several states and overseas. In addition to private consultations, I conduct seminars on animal communication and Feng Shui, and I am frequently a guest speaker for various organizations.

Some people wonder why I teach others to use their own intuition. As one client asked, “Won’t you eventually be out of a job?” My response was, “I hope so, because the whole world will benefit, and God will introduce me to a new career!”
